Three eyed fish

three-eyed_bassI recently read about a unique catch: a three-eyed bass.

To quickly put any rumors to rest, it was caught in a private pond in Missouri, not in Wham Brake. The fishermen didn’t even notice the third eye until they started taking pictures and discovered the third eye located on the bass’ gill plate.

Biologists seem stumped as to what caused it and only examined pictures and the “eye-witness” account of the fishermen because he released it back in the lake. Later he said he caught a lot of flak from his fishing buddies for not keeping the fish. He said he’s been trying to catch it again.

Hey, that should be easy. With three eyes instead of two, it has a better chance of seeing your bait!
