Lake life

A mist

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERA

A few days ago, the fluctuating temperatures created a strange looking, but beautiful mist across the lake down by the spillway. One thing for sure, when the weather plays tricks with water and air temps, it makes for some cool views out across the water. The ups and downs in the temperature which create such sights really make me stop and think (one of those good things about living on the lake).

Life is that way. It’s up one minute, down the next, and then sometimes we can get caught in a fog and forget where we are. Yet just a short time away, there’s bright sunlight and a beautiful morning. The following Bible verse fits perfectly:

“But you do not know what will happen tomorrow! Your life is like a mist. You can see it for a short time, but then it goes away.”  —   James 4:14

Please read that verse above one more time. Take time today to tell the ones you love how much you care. Stop the hustle and bustle and make sure you do the things you to. Yesterday’s gone. Today’s here. Tomorrow’s not guaranteed. Live like you know that. I’m certainly going to try to.

Kinny, I saw the same thing on Lake Claiborne last week. I “lost” a friend in that fog, but only for a couple of hours. When I did find him, he had a mess of white perches. 🙂
