One of the greatest skills in fishing doesn’t have to do with lures or techniques, boat control or finding fish. It has to do with overcoming a basic human flaw that has been developed to a higher degree in this day and time than any other before us. That is lack of patience.
If you aren’t patient, you can’t be a good fisherman. In fact, if you can’t be patient, you may not be able to be good at much. It takes time to learn to fish. It takes time to find fish. And it often takes time to catch them. They don’t just bite because you showed up. Patience. It’s hard to come by. But practice it, and you’ll catch more fish and make more good “casts” in life.

Mark, work is behind schedule. It was supposed to be completed by the end of this month. Expected completion is sometime during March. The new Tainter Gate will give the Lake Commission much greater control in avoiding flooding and in managing water levels during drawdowns.
