There aren’t many fishing reports that you can know are absolutely true.
But I gotta tell you, I know where more fish will be caught Friday January 25 through Sunday January 27th than any other place in north Louisiana. They’ll be caught…released..re-caught…and they’ll gain weight every time you hear about them.
Where? The secret’s out: It’s the big KNOE TV Boat Show at the Monroe Civic Center. There will be tons of fish caught. Big fish. No, bigger fish than before. And no matter how many you “catch”, somebody else will catch more and bigger ones. That’s guaranteed. No gathering like this can be without whoppers… whopper FISH STORIES. You don’t even need to bring any bait or a landing net. They’ll be everywhere. And I’ll be surprised if you don’t bring some of them with you, too.
This year’s featured personality at the show will be one of the star’s of Duck Dynasty, Mountain Man.
Mountain Man will be there to meet and greet, take photos and sign autographs. But I have been able to confirm that there is no truth to the rumor that there will be a slow-talking contest at the show, though. Even if there was, nobody could beat Mountain Man.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries will be there, but don’t worry. There are NO LIMITS if you are just telling stories.
While you are there, drop by the darbonnelakelife.com display. Show times are noon – 7 p.m. Friday; 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Saturday and 11-5 p.m. Sunday. We look forward to seeing you there.
