Gray day

KONICA MINOLTA DIGITAL CAMERAOkay, there are some days when living on the lake isn’t much better than any other good place. We have our gray days, too. Wednesday’s changing temperatures, fog and precipitation that ranged from constant drizzle to pouring rain wasn’t the best day to enjoy the beauty of the lake or the outdoors.

But look on the bright side — all this rain is definitely filling up Lake D’Arbonne in plenty of time for it to level off for the spring spawn. Hopefully that makes for some of the great fishing that makes Lake D’Arbonne famous in the next few months.

On second thought, maybe I was wrong in my opening statement. Living on the lake may just be better after all on any day, no matter how gray.  It does at least always remind you to look at the bright side of things! And there’s a lot to be said for that!

Good question! The lake is just a few inches shy of being full and will rise above pool stage. I will have a complete report in Friday morning’s post. Stay tuned….In the meantime, you can click at the “area rivers and lakes” link on the homepage, click on Lake D’Arbonne and it will show levels and trends.
